Today, I talk to Dr. Yvette Carrillo, a periodontist and implant surgeon in San Diego, California. She earned her degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2015 and completed her periodontics and implant surgery training in 2018. Currently, she works in private practice and teaches part time at her alma mater.
For the first episode in the Noobie and Friends series, we talk about the fundamentals of periodontics. Dr. Yvette shares her patient assessment and workflow as a periodontist. We also discuss the treatment options and procedures for gum recession and chronic periodontitis.
